Black Beauty - Class IV (India) - #BookReview

Black Beauty is an amazing horse who narrates his story from a young Colt to a old well bred horse. He is a Beautiful strong horse. He was sold to many owners, some selfish some cruel, and some kind too. He always strives to do his best. He learned these good manners from his mother (Duchess) and lived by those principles for rest of his life and finally finds a home away from his good friends who are now in rest. He always sits under the apple orchards and dreams that he was grazing at the field with Squire Gordon (Black Beauty's first owner).

When I read this book I had mixed feelings, both happy and sad. I also felt scared for him and curious too about what is going to happen to him further in the book. There are 146 pages including quizzes and exercises of 27 chapters in the book. I finished it in 4 days, I really loved the book.

One important lesson I learnt from this book is that we will never know what will happen in the future but we must always do good things and do our best to impress everyone and be called good.

Black beauty was written by Anna Swell (1820 - 1878). I strongly recommend this book it has all the amazing features based on the Swell family horse called Bess.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate it a 10 / 10!

Bye see you again!

Little Minty all alone on the road

Today am sharing a heartbreaking experience about a little chick. I named the chick Minty.

I was going out for a walk to river Krishna in Vijayawada in Gollapudi, with my brother and my father. I found Minty on the road all alone crying in search of its mother and siblings. I looked around for its mother but it was nowhere to be seen. So, we took the little chick, looked for its owners, but no one was around. So, we continued on the walk with little Minty.

After the walk, we brought Minty to our apartment and played with her and also fed her. I was very scared at the touch of it, because I never felt a little chick. It felt wet and cold, and the nails sharp. It tried to go inside my shirt. But my little brother picked her up and put her down. Because my dad was holding Minty for so long, she thought my father was its mother. Hahahaha. That’s what it thought because it was following him all the time.

Later, we took Minty down to her owners and asked what happened to Minty’s mother. We learnt that Minty’s mom and four of its siblings were eaten by a dog the previous night. So, they let go of this one little chick alone.

But I was happy to find Minty, play and feed her for sometime before returning to her owners. I wish I could visit her again.

So, that’s my little story about finding a chick on the road.
